Husband. Father. Coach. Attorney. Builder. Assembly Member. Landon Dais has spent his life showing up for his community — and bringing what he learns on Bronx blocks to the work of making New York stronger.
A New Yorker from the start
Born and raised in New York, Landon learned early what service looks like. His father served in the military, and his example taught Landon what sacrifice and commitment really mean. He began his education at Fordham Prep, went on to earn a B.A. in Business Management from Morehouse College, an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and a J.D. from Hofstra Law School.
Built by hard work
Before law, Landon worked in construction with Turner Construction on projects including the new Yankee Stadium, and served as a Deputy Director at the Police Athletic League. As an attorney, he helped small businesses and nonprofits across New York grow, and advanced workforce development and criminal justice reform. He was named Pro-Bono Attorney of the Year by Touro Law Center and received the NAACP Roy Wilkins Award.
Home is Highbridge
Landon lives in Highbridge with his wife — who grew up there after her family immigrated from the Dominican Republic — and their two sons. He coaches baseball in the Foster Park league, founded "Brunch of Dads," a support group for Black and Latino fathers, leads the Highbridge Heights Homeowners Association, serves on the board of Mid Bronx Desperadoes to build affordable housing, is a proud brother of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and is a member of Abyssinian Baptist Church.
